• Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and authentication credentials (via Apple Sign-In, Google, or email/password).
• Scan Data: When you scan an item, photo data is sent to our servers for AI analysis. Images are processed in real-time and are not permanently stored on our servers after analysis is complete.
• Scan History: Item names, estimated values, and generated listing text are stored in your account history so you can access them later.
• Usage Data: We may collect anonymous usage statistics such as scan counts and feature usage to improve the app experience.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide and maintain the ThriftFlip service
• Process your item scans and return analysis results
• Manage your account and scan history
• Process subscription payments through Apple's In-App Purchase system
• Improve and optimize the application
• Communicate with you about your account or service updates

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with:

• Service Providers: We use Supabase for database and authentication services, and OpenAI for AI image analysis. These providers process data on our behalf under strict data processing agreements.
• Payment Processors: Subscription payments are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not collect or store payment card information.
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required by law or to protect our rights.

4. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission (TLS/SSL), secure authentication, and access controls. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

5. Data Retention

Scan images are processed in real-time and are not stored after analysis. Your scan history (item names, values, listing text) is retained as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.

6. Children's Privacy

ThriftFlip is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Opt out of certain data processing
